What an exciting rematch it will be!  Frankie seemed to have the answer for the prodigy in their first match up using his speed, range and overall martial arts skill to dethrone the great BJ Penn.  It will be interesting to see how BJ responds in this rematch as in the past when he has lost it has usually been attributed to a mistake or lack of conditioning, but in the case of Frankie Edgar he was simply outclassed.  BJ couldn't seem to land punches, time or set up take downs, or make any of his usual techniques work.  Well fight fans saturday night will be a match up not to miss.  We wish our "Fight Maestro" Frankie Edgar the best of luck in this second match up with the prodigy BJ penn.

After watching Frankie Edgar fight his first time in the UFC I knew that he was special. Other than his very impressive performance against another talented fighter, Tyson Griffin, what intrigued me most was his demeanor and humility. After that fight I approached Frankie, his friends and family as they were having dinner and celebrating the victory. I told his father- in- law how impressed I was with Frankie’s performance. I remember telling Frankie and his family how I believed Frankie was the future of the division and he was going to be a champion someday. After that conversation, I was convinced that Frankie was the type of instructor we wanted representing MMAFaestro.com. Frankie agreed and he has since showed us that not only is he a great fighter but he is an amazing instructor.

We knew that Frankie was a decorated wrestler and a collegiate wrestling coach, but we quickly realized that he is also a true mixed martial artist. Thousands of people have learned from his great lessons and the request for more has been a constant.

On Saturday, April 10th 2010, Frankie was set to challenge what many believed to be an unbeatable B.J.Penn. Well, what many believed to be an undersized lightweight challenger became “The Answer” to defeating the greatest lightweight of all time! Frankie won in impressive fashion winning a unanimous decision out boxing Penn and controlling the fight. All of us at MMAFaestro.com would like to congratulate the new UFC World Lightweight Champion, Frankie “The Answer” Edgar. We are proud to have you as one of the great Faestro Instructors!
